Cairoli
storms back to victory in Sweden
UDDEVALLA
(SWEDEN), 4 July 2010 – MX1 Championship leader Antonio
Cairoli marked his comeback to victory in Sweden courtesy of two
moto wins right before the start of the FIM Motocross World
Championship’s summer break. In the MX2 class instead the
event marked Steven Frossard’s maiden victory after a battle
with Ken Roczen in both heats.

Clement
Desalle took two second places for second overall ahead of team mate
Steve Ramon, putting together two solid moto’s and finishing ahead
of Evgeny Bobryshev.
In the MX2 class Jeffrey Herlings took second on the podium while
Gautier Paulin completed the top three at his first podium
appearance of 2010. Roczen instead won the final heat but a
technical problem ruled him out of heat one when he was chasing
Frossard for first.
MX1
Taking victory number four of 2010, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
MX1’s Cairoli walked away from Sweden with an extended
Championship lead. The Italian, who won both heats, is now 67 points
ahead of Desalle whom he passed for the lead of moto two after
having dominated the opening moto.
The Rockstar Teka Suzuki World MX1 Team completed the overall podium
and now looks forward to their home Grand Prix in Lommel, Belgium,
coming up next on the August 1 weekend.
Desalle was second overall and collected his fifth consecutive
podium. The winner of the last GP in Latvia recovered to second in
the opening moto and was again second in the final moto, which he
was leading until a hard charging Cairoli moved past him and pulled
away.
Ramon mounted on the third step of the podium after a solid final
moto. The Belgian, who missed this GP last year due to a neck injury,
was close to Desalle towards the end of the heat but decided to
settle for an eventual safe third. In moto one instead Ramon was
fourth.
Once again CAS Honda’s Bobryshev missed his first podium by a
bunch of points. The Russian already came close to the podium in
Latvia and today took another fourth overall after he made a mistake
in the final moto, when he tried to move past Desalle for second. He
was an eventual fourth in the second moto and fifth in the first
one.
Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross’ Philippaerts completed the top
five. After a good third place in the opening moto, the Italian had
a bad start to moto two and struggled to recover.
Nagl was sixth ahead of Boog while Söderström was the best placed
home rider with 14th overall. Boissiere was 15th in the standings
but a head concussion following a second moto crash ruled him out of
the final heat.
17th was Guarneri who crashed in both moto’s after taking good
starts.

Kawasaki CLS’s Frossard interrupted KTM’s winning streak in the
MX2 class as he took his first ever Grand Prix victory at Uddevalla.
The French made up for a disappointing qualifying heat yesterday –he
tangled with Roczen at the opening lap and crashed- with two solid
performances today. Frossard moved past Simpson and Herlings in heat
one to lead until the chequered flag while he let Roczen by in the
second moto and took second. The German troubled Frossard also in
the opening heat, making mistakes but always coming back to the
Frenchman’s tail; eventually a mechanical problem ruled him out
with just two laps to go. Now the French has equalled runner up
Roczen in the Championship standings with a total of 355 points.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MX2’s Herlings was a positive second
on the podium in Uddevalla, where he had never raced a Grand Prix
before. The Dutch, who won in Kegums last weekend, was handed second
by Roczen in the opening moto and rounded off the day with a fourth
place in the final moto.
With Roczen having pulled away from runner up Frossard, the second
moto was added drama by Paulin’s recovery in the final laps. The
French worked his way to the first 2010 podium by passing both
Musquin and Herlings in the final six laps. Combining a third place
in moto two and a fifth in moto one, the French earned the overall
podium.
After taking third in the opening moto, Kawasaki CLS’ Van Horebeek
was troubled by pain to his neck due to last weekend’s injury. The
Belgian could do no better than sixth in the second moto and dropped
down to fourth overall.
Championship leader Musquin of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MX2 was a
bitter fifth overall, combining a fourth and a fifth place in the
heats. Musquin struggled with bad starts but his main rival in the
Championship Roczen still scored lass points than him due to his dnf
in moto one.
American Leib took his best result of the season with ninth overall
right ahead of Simpson. The British was leading race one when he was
passed by Frossard and crashed.
Kullas took 11th leading a Yamaha trio completed by Lupino and
Charlier, with the latter being disappointed with his riding after
he almost won yesterday’s qualifying.
A broken rear wheel hampered Teillet’s ambitions of winning race
two, which he started in the top three but ended with a dnf.
A crash at the opening lap and a broken exhaust also spelled an
early end to Tonus’ last moto.

GRAND
PRIX DE SLOVAQUIE
Retour
sur le podium

Photo
agence Ciblekom - Mathiew
Salut
A
très bientôt et merci pour tous les messages d’encouragement
et de soutien que je reçois régulièrement.

Desalle
and Herlings fight hard to win in Latvia
KEGUMS
(LATVIA), 27 June 2010 – At sunny Kegums, Clement Desalle and
Jeffrey Herlings came back onto the top of the MX1 and MX2
podium respectively as both collected their second Grand Prix
win of the season. Four hard fought moto’s made it an exciting
day of racing for the Latvian fans who also received the visit
of the country’s Prime Minister Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis at this
second edition of the Latvian Grand Prix.

Desalle
won from MX1 Championship leader and second heat winner Antonio
Cairoli with Steve Ramon completing the overall podium. Both
Cairoli and Ramon made their comeback to the rostrum.
Securing the second career GP win courtesy of his victory in
heat two, Herlings took first overall ahead of Ken Roczen and
Steven Frossard, all starring a three way battle for first in a
dramatic final heat.
Mats Nilsson established his authority on the FIM Veterans’
World Cup through two dominant heat wins. Eventually he topped
the podium from Erwin Hendrickx and Pascal Bal.
MX1
Narrowly missing out on the Latvia Grand Prix victory last year
due to a technical problem, Rockstar Teka Suzuki World MX1’s
Desalle completed his mission this weekend and took also his
second victory of 2010. The Belgian charged hard in the opening
moto to take a provisional second within the first half of the
race, then moved on to pass a fast Bobryshev and snatch the lead.
In the final moto instead he settled to second behind Cairoli
with the result being enough to earn the overall win.
A disappointed Cairoli took second on the podium behind Desalle.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MX1 rider struggled to pass
Philippaerts in the opening moto and was impossible to catch the
top three riders by the time he had moved up to fourth. The
Italian took his revenge by winning the second heat in dominant
style and work his way up to the overall podium.
Other Rockstar Teka Suzuki World MX1 rider Ramon completed the
podium, with the Suzuki duo sandwiching the Championship leader
on the podium. Ramon rode two steady moto’s to take two third
places. The podium brought Ramon up to fourth in the
Championship while team mate Desalle is second.
CAS Honda’s Bobryshev narrowly missed his maiden podium
finish. The Russian was about to win moto one when Desalle
charged hard in the final laps and moved past. Bobryshev took
second eventually but could not repeat himself in moto two,
finishing a distant fourth. Ending level in points with Ramon,
Bobryshev took fourth overall.
Kawasaki Racing’s Boog completed the top five ahead of
Philippaerts and Nagl, who got the holeshot in the final heat.
German GP winner De Dycker struggled and ended twelfth while
Steinbergs was the best placed home rider with a 24th overall
position. Japanese Tomoya Suzuki was 31st.

MX2
With only six points separating the top four riders of the Grand
Prix of Latvia, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MX2’s Herlings
came out on top of the pack courtesy of his final moto victory
and of team mate Musquin’s crash at the start of the final
heat.
Herlings
started strong in the first moto to snatch the lead from
holeshotter Musquin but dropped down to an eventual third. Moto
two was different as Herlings found himself at the leap of the
first laps but Frossard came past to take the lead. Before the
race finished Herlings was back on top and won a three way
battle for first with Frossard and Roczen to take the overall
win.
Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2’s Roczen made it to second on the
podium but was disappointed not to have started his attacks a
bit before. In moto one the German came dramatically close to
eventual winner Musquin only in the final laps and narrowly
missed out on his second heat win of the season after
Germany’s second moto. In the final heat instead Roczen was
overtaken by Frossard and ended third.
Kawasaki CLS’ Frossard was an eventual third on the podium.
With Musquin being another candidate for third overall,
Frossard had to work his way up to second in the final moto by
passing Roczen and even troubling Herlings for the win otherwise
he would have not been on the rostrum. In the first heat instead
he was a steady fourth.
After a winning streak of five GP’s, Musquin of Red Bull KTM
Factory Racing MX2’s missed the podium and dropped down to
fourth overall in Latvia. The Championship leader took victory
in moto one but a fall in the first corner of the second moto
put him out of the potential winners’ list. Musquin recovered
from dead last to an eventual seventh to give the crowd a
demonstration of his impressive talent.
Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross’ Paulin completed the top five
ahead of Roelants while team mates Kullas and Charlier were
respectively seventh and eighth.
After taking three consecutive podiums, Osborne finished 13th
overall and even crashed at the first corner of moto one.
Latvian Karro ended right after in 14th place.

Papenmeier’s
victory adds drama in the championship
TEUTSCHENTHAL
(GERMANY), 19 June 2010 – Home rider Larissa Papenmeier went
out with Saturday’s race victory, followed by her compatriot
Stephanie Laier. Pole setter Livia Lancelot finished third after
having a good start and being able to ride second during the
first laps.
|

|
Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2's Papenmeier drove her German fans
crazy after getting the holeshot and succeeded to keep Lancelot
and Laier’s pressure during the whole race. The French rider
had a tough fight during the first 5 laps with Red Bull KTM
Factory Racing’s Laier, who was finally able to overtake
Lancelot in one of the last turns of the track taking advantage
of a lapped rider.
Diga KTM’s Maria Franke had to push really hard to finish
fourth as she could not get a good line in the start. The German
managed to pass the fifth classified Chiara Fontanesi just at
the penultimate lap of the race.
Tomorrow’s race may change notoriously the FIM WMX
Championship Classification, as top 5 riders are really tight in
points and this would contribute for an exciting weekend for the
German fans.

Papenmeier’s
first victory in the FIM WMX Championship
TEUTSCHENTHAL
(GERMANY), 20 June 2010 – Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2’s
Papenmeier got her first ever round victory in the FIM Women’s
World Championship in front of 35.000 spectators. Chiara
Fontanesi finished second, after achieving second moto’s
victory, and Livia Lancelot completed the podium with a double
third place. Championship leader Stephanie Laier did not have an
easy weekend at home but she still managed fourth overall.

Larissa
Papenmeier had a perfect weekend in Teutschenthal winning the
first race on Saturday and being second in the last moto. The
German rider starred in a tight second moto finale and crossed
the finish line less than a second behind Fontanesi as she did
not know she was already the virtual round winner with that
second position. Chiara Fontanesi was eighth on Saturday but she
managed to get a good start in the second moto riding after
Stephanie Laier, who was the first one to go past the first turn
of the German track.
KTM HDI MX’s Lancelot succeeded in being on the third step of
the podium after not an outstanding performance in her home
round in France. The French rider was able to get two good
starts in both races and she managed to keep her rhythm
throughout the two motos. However, she is still not 100%
satisfied with her results as her goal is riding for the victory
and closing the gap with Laier in the championship’s
standings.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Laier had an unfortunate weekend
at home suffering from two painful crashes already in the
qualifying practice and bumping into a lapped rider in the
second moto getting her helmet hit while recovering from the
clash. She was fourth overall.
Stephanie Laier keeps being the FIM WMX leader 40 points ahead
Lancelot, who is now followed by this weekend’s winner Larissa
Papenmeier. Fourth is Chiara Fontanesi and fifth is Diga KTM’s
Franke, who got an overall fifth position after finishing fourth
in both heats.

De
Dycker celebrates birthday with first season’s win
TEUTSCHENTHAL
(GERMANY), 20 June 2010 – Taking his first win of 2010 and
also first on a Yamaha machine, Ken De Dycker dominated the
German Grand Prix with two moto wins. Marvin Musquin won in the
MX2 class despite a strong Ken Roczen dominated the final heat
in front of his home fans.
Clement
Desalle took second on the MX1 podium courtesy of two third place
finishes while an ill David Philippaerts was third overall. Tony
Cairoli retained the red plate as he ended fourth overall ahead of
Xavier Boog.
Ken Roczen won heat two in dominant style but took second overall on
the podium as he was slowed down in heat one by problems to his
goggles. Zach Osborne was third and mounted on his third consecutive
podium. Jeremy Van Horebeek and Steven Frossard completed the top
five.
Jason Clermont was the first to beat EMX 125 series leader Jordi
Tixier as the two ended first and second respectively on the German
podium. Yohan Lafont completed the top three.
MX1
Yamaha Monster Energy Ricci’s De Dycker managed to take his first
season’s overall victory in Germany, where he won both moto’s
after hard fights with his rivals on the day of his 26th birthday.
Taking an early lead in heat one, De Dycker pulled away to win with
a nine second advantage from Philippaerts. In moto two instead the
Belgian had to work his way up to first and was chased by Cairoli
until the chequered flag, which he crossed just two tenths of a
second before the Italian.
After taking his first season’s pole yesterday, Rockstar Teka
Suzuki World MX1’s Desalle struggled in the races and made it to
an eventual second overall. The Belgian was leading the opening heat
when he crashed and recovered to an eventual third after a three way
battle for second with Boog and Philippaerts. In the second heat
Desalle was leading again but was passed first by De Dycker then by
Cairoli and took another third place.
Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross’ Philippaerts completed the podium
despite being ill. The Italian fought hard for second in heat one
and completed the day with a fifth place in moto two.
Italy fellow rider Cairoli of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MX1 was a
bitter fourth overall. Cairoli tangled up with Leok at the start of
heat one and was forced to recover from the tail of the group to
sixth. In moto two the MX1 Championship leader rode strong to
trouble De Dycker in the final laps and take an eventual second
place.
Kawasaki Racing’s Boog completed the top five after leading both
races. The French was fast in the early stages of both heats –he
even took the holeshot in heat one- but dropped down the bottom of
the top five as the races went on.
Home rider Nagl took sixth overall despite riding with a broken left
collarbone from the French round.
Guarneri, who was a solid third in yesterday’s qualifying, was
ninth overall as he struggled during the GP heats while Honda fellow
rider Ferris of Australia ended his maiden GP in 16th place.
A crash caused Pourcel a head concussion and the French will miss
the forthcoming two GP’s.

MX2
It was again Musquin who topped the podium at the end of the German
Grand Prix, which marked victory number seven of 2010 for the Red
Bull KTM Factory Racing MX2 rider from France. Musquin took victory
in the first moto after moving past team mate Herlings but could not
overtake second moto leader Roczen, ending first ahead of Musquin.
Second overall was last year’s German GP winner Roczen. The Teka
Suzuki Europe World MX2 teenager struggled with his goggles in the
first heat, riding with no eyes protection and dropping down from
third to fifth. In the final moto instead Roczen took a dominant
victory to secure the overall podium and reinforce his second place
in the series behind Musquin.
Bike-it Cosworth Yamaha UK’s Osborne was third overall as he took
his third consecutive podium since his home GP in USA. Osborne
struggled in the opening heat and took a fourth place with just two
laps to go. He performed better in the final moto, ending third and
securing the overall podium.
Kawasaki CLS’ racers completed the top five but it was a bitter
result for the squad having Frossard in fourth and Van Horebeek in
fifth. After taking second and third in moto one with Van Horebeek
and Frossard respectively, both crashed in moto two and had to work
hard to get back into the top ten.
Tonus was sixth ahead of Charlier and Simpson, with the latter
taking the holeshot in moto two. Paulin and Vongsana completed the
top ten.
Herlings stopped for technical issues in heat one and was eighth in
moto two for a final 13th.

GRAND
PRIX DE POLOGNE

Salut
Ces erreurs me coûtent
A
très bientôt !
